Island Newt

The Newt kayak is intended to introduce young people and smaller paddlers to a high quality composite boat that offers sharp and refined handling characteristics not usually found in the more common plastic boats.

The hull has rounded chines and has the advantage of a built in skeg, echoing its Innuit origins.

The Island Kayaks - Newt, is designed by Donacha Drew, a paddler with over fifty years experience at sea.

• 13 recessed nylon deck fittings with 6mm deck lines and 5mm shock cord.
