Designed and tested in Scotland, Island Kayaks are produced near owner Gavin Major’s winter home in Columbo, Sri Lanka (Gavin lives on the Isle of Skye during the warmer months). The company is still quite new, but is already known for its aggressive approach to innovation. The original Expedition and the Expedition LV are fast, soft-chine boats that are exceptionally maneuverable, and not easily burdened with expedition loads.
